So, we had our PT test this morning.... here are the results:
Push-ups (1m) = 50 (+2)
Sit-ups (1m) = 65 (-10) yikes - I must have not pushed as hard this am
2-mile run = 19:03 (improved again!)
Not bad, actually. I didn't go to bootcamp last week b/c I went to tennis all week in the am for clinics. Our women's league starts this weekend, so they did 1.5 hr drills everyday from 8:30 - 10:00am for all the women's teams at Circle C Tennis club. So, I was working out, but not necessarily working on abs and upper body as much as tennis strategy and cardio. I also had a fun and fattening Labor Day weekend enjoying food and Bacardi mojitos with friends this past weekend.
School is starting back so this is really the end of the summer. A lot of Reggie's bootcamp members are teachers, so the time has moved up to 5:45am instead of 6am and we'll continue to meet Mon - Thurs and now have Fridays off. I've lost 4lbs and definitely feel more toned and feel great about the running. I think it's time for me to start doing the 3 and 4mile loop at Town Lake now that I have a strong (for me) running pace on the 2-mile run. That should help with burning the calories. We are also starting weekly challenges - this week is having fruit for snacks instead of high calorie junk food.
In other back-to-school news, Bulldozer and Raja are doing great at school. Raja is now in the pre-k class and loves it and Bulldozer has now adapted to 2 days a week Tues/Thurs in the toddler class. All of their teachers are really nice and we are starting to get into a routine of getting out the door at a reasonable time in the morning.
